Need Advice About Linkbuilding Strategies

It's been a while since I've implemented link building and wondered if you guys could help point me in the right direction.

What strategies do you use? Or do you use a company that does this for you?

Does anybody still submit articles? Is link building as important as it was a few years ago? I'm out of touch with this side of things.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Michele

SEO has definitely changed a lot. The good news is you can still use that strategy, but your efforts would be better building a private blog network. If you do decide to still submit articles, you want to make sure that the places that you submit them to have a lot of trust and authority. There are a handful that still do. I would also look at press releases.

Remember, you can always build up the authority of a link pointing to your money site by hitting that specific page with links.

How do you see a PBN or private blog network? White, grey or black?

        White.

It's a personal website and as an owner, we can link to out to anywhere we want.

It is more "grey" to use someone else's site for my profit.

If you go with Google's rules, 100% of links to manipulate search are black hat.

I paint a white stripe, a grey stripe and a black stripe on the face of all my pbn sites, so, I guess, mine are all of the above.

It's not the fact that you have a PBN that determines SEO color; it's what you do with your PBN that does.

All SEO is non-white because we are trying to manipulate the Google search rankings. Grading one SEO technique as grey or black if more of a personal opinion.

The number one thing I'm curious about youu (Michelle Miller) is what are you an authority at? Do you have a current blog or set of articles you are running somewhere where you are an authority? Find niche websites in your area online and do article writing with link backs to your website. You'll do good!

Articles are very good. Blog commenting is still very powerful. Social signals of course and a variety of different anchor text backlinks.

Links are still the #1 ranking factor. That's only important though if you are relying on search engine traffic. If you have other methods for generating traffic, then it really does not matter.

As far as submitting articles, if you are talking about the old method of hitting Ezine, Article Dashboard, etc... that is a waste of time for SEO.

Though SEO strategies have not seen much changes, there is an update in Google algorithm which says that the quality of content must be high & it should be unique. PBN & guest posting could be effective, but only when it is of high authority. But, still, the ON Page factors are holding the prime importance in ranking a website in Google search engine. Your immense backlinks wouldn't be effective until you rectify the errors of the ON Page of your website. Think about it
