Feedback for our SEO Strategies

Hello Guys,

I am currently working on two projects and need to get a higher rank. I am not a total newbie, but also not a pro. Something in between. I am ready to invest in SEO and wanted to know, how I can wisely invest or does it make no sense?

The first Project is a local fun sports activity. The rank is solid (something around 4-6 on almost every keyword), but I can't get up to the 1-3. Webpage has very good content, Meta Titles/Description/Links are optimized, H1-H5 is setted wisely, Web structure is also good, I have a blog, which is updated every couple of days with useful information and subpages for specific keywords.

I tried many things to get our content out there. We invited bloggers (small or big) and offered them a free game (worth around 100), invited magazines.. nothing really worked. So we thought, maybe we need to invest a bit (maybe sponsored blogposts) to get the rank higher. To you have an idea about, which strategy would suit our niche?

Second Project is a web agency homepage, where we create homepages for local businesses. I know it's a crowded market, but right now my competition is relaxing on their Google Position. We have a couple of long-tail-keywords, which have a nice position, but the "good" long teil keywords still have around position 8-13. This project is more difficult, because of the crowded niche. We tried here some different strategies:

1. We launched a Project, where we create free professional homepages for Non-Profit-Organisations, so they can boost their work and don't have to think about big investments in a homepage. It's really a useful service and we tried to contact big social names (Greenpeace, City Gov Sites, Universities) and told them about our concept, but people are not reacting. We wrote that we have this service, but we can't really reach the certain audience and we asked if we could make a guest blog post on those sites. Maybe you also have here a quick idea about a different strategy?

Overall I just wanted to get some good feedback and maybe some input about different ideas. As the title says, we want to speed up things by investing some money into our SEO work, maybe you could recommend me something.

    Follow these steps to improve your Keywords ranking:

    1. Search Keyword which is more relevant to your business.
    2. Put all keywords in Title, Meta Description, Header Keywords & Content as well.
    3. Find out the competitors keywords.
    4. Make Social Media profile and targeted your audience locally or globally.
    5. Build Backlinks By Commenting, Guest Posting, quality infographics Etc.
    6. Start Focusing on Long-Tail Keywords.

    Here are some tips which can make you rank better.
    1.Keep Quality content, frequent update won't work. Try post content which is Knowledgeable.
    2. Use Social Media so that it can reach the targeted audience.
    3. Build your network and backlinks are very important in ranking
    4. If you are still not able to find the solution then go for paid searches.
