Is having price list on my website good for SEO?

I have a garage door company and as part of trying to rank higher on Google, I was thinking a banner with prices would be good. Or perhaps it's overlooked/ intimidating customers? I am trying to get more phone calls and emails from customers.

Thanks!

I would have a prices page.

It will be filled with keyword rich content and at the least it's another page.

You can put a 'from' price in your meta description, as this doesn't affect Google's ranking but is displayed in their listings - why not? I personally like to see prices before I click through, although you are correct some might run away at your prices.

As above A-B testing YES, but, on this occasion it will not hurt to create a prices page and if you notice a drop off possibly due to your prices, simply unpublish the page.

Prices lists have nothing to do with SEO, only you use a keyword in there. (instead of
    1... $4
    3... $10 *you save $2
    5... $15* you save $5

    use

    1 blue widget $4
    2 red widget $6
    3 green widget $8

Buy all three widget types and get $10%.

It is easy to run into keyword stuffing issues.)

However, if you add a price (some numbers) and people search with numbers, you might rank for those.

So, if your keyword is home insurance and someone searches is $250 too much for home insurance, you'll rank high for a bunch of keywords where the words insurance, home and a number are used.

But just a list of prices does not affect SEO.

I have a garage door client in North Carolina.

It's kind of funny how that worked out. Someone on this site disappeared when I gave them a price quote (adios). Now I'm ranking pages for another garage door business and they were happy with the same price.

It worked out good for me considering I had already done most of the basic niche keyword research.

    Anyways...

OP, add a starting point for prices with a disclaimer for mileage is extra and whatever else is needed can be an extra cost. Published prices are rough estimates for service jobs.
