We use Semrush for the feautures he has, specially for the Site Audit tool, even if there are a lot of false positives there but if you are looking for something more professional tool and you have the budget i sugest Ahrefs, has a larger keyword database! Let's say that a perfect tool shoud be a combination between these 2 in my apoinion

Semrush or Ahrefs can help you with that task.
Pick the one that suits you I would recommend Ahrefs little more over semrush

  • I use Traffic Travis. My monthly report (SEO/traffic?keywords, etc) is easily downloaded in excel or pdf format.

I use SEO PowerSuite reports in most cases; digestible and easy to understand - is exactly what I`d call them, actually. The reports are customizable, cover lots of factors and reflect the overall progress. WebsiteAuditor reports are also a real time-saver as all factors and issues there are briefly explained - this is extremely cool when the client is not exactly tech-savvy.

To use white label reporting you`d need the Enterprise licenses, but this provides a tone of options: saving, emailing, publishing reports or sharing by link, all can be automated btw.

It does have a free version to test if it suits you (not time-limited btw), you can generate the reports inside the software with it, but it won`t allow saving reports; so it`s fine if you need to sum everything up for yourself, but won`t fit for client reporting.

I have been using the Pro version for a while (it allowed printing the reports), but as I switched to using SEO PowerSuite tools for most of the routine I upgraded to Enterirse to use the client reporting in full with saving and publishing options. But, while the clients are happy with the reports, and the reporting is automated and requires zero effort from me - I`d say it was worth every penny.
