Duplicate Content For Franchise Sites

Hi Everyone,

I was just asked to submit a proposal to write weekly blog posts for a Private School. The owner has six locations, each with their own website.

He wants weekly posts on each site.

Will Google penalize them for duplicate content if I post the same post on each site?

If so, what percentage of content would I need to change for each post to be unique enough not to be penalized?

TIA!

That is not duplicate content. It is syndicated content. Google doesn't penalize websites for syndicated content, but it is unlikely that all versions of the same piece of content would show up in the search results.

Unless, you are trying to rank these individual posts for something, I wouldn't worry about it much. If you are trying to rank these posts for something, then I would completely rewrite them each time.
