Getting Pageviews but not ranking

Hello,

I have a website and some of pages are suddenly go down in serp but they are getting pageviews the same as in earlier. but not getting ranking. anyone can help in this?

    There can be many factors playing. Such as,

    - Your content is unique and easy to read, people like it so they come back that's why you are getting page views. But your content is less informative & less updated with respect to your competitors so the rankings are falling.

    - Your content is what your specific audience love to read like a story but they are not optimized in terms of SEO as of your competitors.

    - Your content is just getting shares in the social sphere as they were liked once. But they are not so much in the SERP's.

    So, here is my opinion. Go to your competitors page's and see what you are actually lacking. Evaluate them in every aspects such as content, backlinks, on-page optimization etc.

    If you have good page views then it doesn't matter you will also get rank yeah it effects but a little bit. To get rank you must make backlinks and advertisement is also necessary. Most important backlinks.
