Hello,
I just setup my first website that's geared for adense. I do have a problem.

My Ads that are coming up, have nothing to do with the content on the website.

I'm running the website based of wordpress, I am using adsense manager to help with the placement.

Does it take google a while to "read" the page for correct ad's or is there something I have to do?

Thanks

    Hi xDennis,

It can take a few days for AdSense to optimize your ads, just be patient. If they aren't significantly better after a few days, let us know and we'll help you deal with it.

Yeah just make sure you've got your keywords in the title of the page and the emta tags. I remember it taking a week for one of my sites to start sowing relevant ads.

    Hello,
Okay I have my meta setup to my KW's however on the index page, the adsense ads that come up are about WP blogs, blogging, making money and that sort of thing. My website it about dogs. When I click on an individual post, then I see the right ad's about dogs. But opn the main page the ads are about blogging and wordpress. Could there be something built into the theme that is disturbing the adsense ads?

Go to google's adsense site and look up "section targeting" - I've used that successfully with wordpress as you can define your keywords and with the targeting script added your ads will target your niche within a couple days.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I read an article somewhere (i forgot the source ) that you could "attract" relevant ads by placing the ad block anywhere close to the targeted keyword in a certain post.

I'm sorry not being able to elaborate this approach right now, as I lost the source article. Will update when I found it. Or anyone here have knowledge about this?
