Competitor got 30k+ backlinks from a single website which are untraceable on the website.

Hello Warriors,
I have started affiliate marketing recently and made myself an affiliate marketing website (Kupanzone.com). As I learned about Google rankings, I got to know about Backlinks and how they are important for ranking on google. So I did a brief research on my competitors backlinks and I was clueless about what was going on. Here are the facts that I found out about my competitors.
Website 1: Zoutons.com gets almost 38k+ Backlinks from a website called telegramindia.com or so but when we get on the website, the links are not traceable.

Website 2: Coupondunia.com has only 1800 backlinks from a website called deals5.com which is unreachble.

(You can do a quick search of these at Backlinkwatch.com, or any other website you are familiar wtih)

With these kind of links, they are ranking on the first page of Google which shouldn't be the case.
How are they doing it? If they are getting a link then it should show on the source code somewhere. Please help me out.

    Are the hosting sites relevant to your competitors site?
    If not then they are just spam. We also get these kind of links, we just disavow them.

    I think I haven't expressed myself properly. I apologize for it. I've made the necessary changes.
    So the situation is, 'Zoutons.com' and 'Coupondunia.com' are my rivals, these are not my websites.
    I checked their website on backlinkswatch(dot)com and I found out that they are getting 30k+ backlinks from a single website which google should notice and deindex according to me, but this is not the case. Instead, they rank on the first page because of that.
    So I went on the website that provides them backlinks (For 'Zoutons.com' it is 'Telegraphindia.com') and when I checked their Frontend (The Visible Page), I couldn't find the links of Zoutons.com anywhere. So I checked the Page source, and even there no link to Zoutons.com was available.
    How are they doing it?

    May be the links are present in the innerpages of the host site. As, 'Telegraphindia.com' is a news site which I am seeing there may be millions of places where the links are embedded.

    Check the backlink url what it is saying.

      Can be embed a backlink where only google can see it? Because I checked the source and the frontend and I got to the conclusion that this maybe the case.

    I used the backlinkwatch tool now but I am not seeing any backlinks for zoutons which are from telegraphinda.

      In Backlinkwatch.com
      And you'll see links from telegraphindia.com and other webpages of telegraphindia.com

      Also. I did not understand that "innerpages of the hostsite" thing. Please explain that?

    Backlink is important for ranking but if you do like that i think google know you spam and don't ranking your website.

    My experiance i pinging and sharing all Social Network. Do 1~2 backlink per day in Forums, website or my Blog Niche site.

      The website that I am talking about is ranking first for a highly competitive keyword. If you want to check, go to google.co.in and type amazon coupons and you'll find Zoutons.com and Coupondunia.com on the first page. They do not do any ads, I can assure you that so only reason they get visitors is their google ranking.

      Also, Yes, please tell me about how you get yourself backlinks? it would be really helpful.

    more backlink from one website it means his link on either footer or header and that is why they called in every page of sites and google identify as a many backlink from this sites.

      Yeah that can be the case, but I think they are contexual backlinks I guess.
      Everything i've read till now about backlinks tell me that it should be visible somewhere in the page or its source, but this isnt the case here.
      Can you please check the websites' that i've mentioned?

      Altough can anyone create backlinks for his money website from his PBN which are not visible on the PBN webpage to a customer but google values it?
      Ex: My money website is XYZ.com and PBN website is ABC.com
      Can I give backlinks which are valuable to google but invisible to the customer?

      Also how many backlinks can I give from one PBN website to a money website?

        Don't try to hide links I have seen people put links in the header and footer from the homepage google think of it as a spam.

        First make sure that google doesn't finds out that you are using PBN.
        And secondly, create natural links from PBN to your main money site. Say the PBN blog has 20 posts then I would put 3-4 links in 3-4 posts which are relevant for my money site with relevant anchor text.

          I would not link that often from a network site. Just one link is plenty. The more you add, the more it starts to look like a crappy network site.

    Man there is a lot of nonsense in this thread.

    You need to understand the services you are using. Backlinkwatch.com does a horrible job of removing links from their index that no longer exist. Most other backlink checkers are pretty bad at this too.

    So those links might have been there 3 years ago, and just are not there now. They will probably still be showing up in Backlinkwatch.com in another 3 years.

    Your competitors are probably not doing anything sneaky. The link checking services just contain a lot of really old data.
