making slight change to keyword phrase.

Hi

I have found a KWP that gets a reasonable amount of traffic to my site however it is difficult to write content around it. The KWP is "carpet cleaning Northallerton" Northallerton being a town in the north of England.

It would be easier to write content for the KWP "carpet cleaning in Northallerton" but I am not sure if that would dilute the original KWP in google's eyes and reduce the traffic. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Use the word "in" when you are writing sentences. You still have to be literate. Use "Carpet Cleaning - Northallerton" in the title tag and, perhaps, a heading on the page.

Also integrate other low level keywords into your post so Google can pick those up and eventually start giving you credit for them.

The exact phrase "carpet cleaning Northallerton" does not need to show up anywhere on your page in order to rank for it.

Google is not nearly as stupid as it was 10 years ago and does not need to be spoon fed everything.

But if you still want it on your page, load up a couple of images called, you guessed it, carpet-cleaning-Northallerton, Carpet cleaning Norhtallerton.

In some programs (jpg images in Windows Photo Viewer), if you right-click on an image, then properties, you can give it 1-5 stars, write a description, add keywords you want it to show up for...

Very true, but too many people here actually believe that little word matters and I am tired of arguing with them. Easier to just show them where to put it than to listen to all of the nonsense about how it matters.

in my opinion you should not take too many keyword phrases, it will lose the necessary natural look in the text. Instead, you can put the phrase in question, and was "surrounded" by quotations from, so would be better with out the google eyes
