Hey warriors,

I own a web development blog since 2008 which has around 400 posts. I've checked for broken links and there's lots of them.

Any solution to get rid of them easily?

You don't provide enough information to be definitively helpful. That said, assuming it is a WP blog, here are some options.

    - https://wordpress.org/plugins/broken-link-checker/
    - https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/
    - https://wordpress.org/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/

Hopefully, one of these works for you.

    Hey,

I would advice downloading Xenu. You just paste in your website, sort by status and get the broken links highlighted. After that you might want to create an excel table, depending on the amount of different type of broken links.

    Hello there,

If You are struggling with broken links problem, then you should take help of a url checker tool. There are various free tools available on internet. They run a full scan of your website and give a detailed excel report.
Or you can search back links from your webmaster tool.

    Thank

I would recommend WebsiteAuditor from SEO PowerSuite. It doesn`t have the functionality to remove or replace the broken links, but it definitely finds ALL. I`m using it even for huge sites as it crawls all kinds of resources (images/videos, attachments, everything), not only the html pages, and summarizes the data conveniently - it forms a list of all broken links with exact status codes, with the pages involved (where they have been found) and even the code elements they have been found in.

This is the effective way to me:

You check when signing in to Google Webmasters Tools > Crawl > Crawl Errors.
Google will announce all the broken links on your site in here after collecting the data, you will see a list of URLs of your blog with status 404 Errors.

To edit them you first click the try link error message, if it is still the content then you just tick on the boxes before it and hit the MARK AS FIXED to inform Google has finished editing.

Thanks, hope it will be useful to you.
