Cookie Cutter Titles - worth making unique?

Ive got between 2000 to 3000 pages on my site displaying results so this is not an easy change hence the need for a good answer

We have template titles i.e. (just a rough example)

Hotels to rent in Leicester & Accommodation to rent, North England

Hotels to rent in Wolverhampton & Accommodation to rent, North England


I've read many times that these title should be unique and not in the template format above, but does anyone have any experience of dealing with this whereby you made titles unique and saw an uplift in traffic?
