Blogger Blogs not being indexed

Hi All,

I've been creating a lot of blogger blogs lately. I've been backlinking the crap out of them using Socialbot, RSSbot, the Backlink Bully method, and Angela's links (along with Trafficguy Claude's slingshot technique).

I have been checking google using the "site:" command and none of them have been indexed by google. It has been about 14 days since I created most of the blogs.

After I noticed this, I went back and decided to check some old blogs I created about a year ago with blogger. When these older blogs were created, I was using SEnuke and created links to them using the software. I haven't really kept up with them, however, because I was mostly just experimenting with SEnuke.

Anyway, none of these older sites have been indexed either! After searching around last night I discovered that the blogger template I've been using has a couple of "nofollow" instances in the html. Is that what is causing my sites not to be indexed?

I've now removed the "nofollow" commands from the html and I'm hoping that it will help.

Does anybody have any ideas/solutions that could help make sure my blogs get indexed, other than what I've already done?

Thanks so much!

Not sure what to tell you, I've never had this happen. I did just check one of my automated blogs to see what the situation was and only 700 pages out of 3500 are indexed right now, so maybe something's going on, but that one is built on auto-pilot (I did a wso for videos showing how I did it at the time) and it's showing number 1 in Google for its keyword out of 89,000,000 results and Google still shows over 7000 inbound links, so I'm not sure what's different about what you're doing (except that I didn't use any of those resources you mentioned) but I don't tend to think about it too much and this was the first time I've checked that blog for a year, I just leave it autobuilding and making me Adsense revenue - it was just a test blog at the time.

Usually with SEM things come and go and you can't always correlate short term changes in results with anything you're doing (Google could be testing a new algorithm), and usually it's best not to react quickly and change things - just do what you know should work.

I like it that people keep coming up with all these interesting new names for different ways to get links - even though people have been doing the same thing for years but didn't need to brand the method.

You should stick to basics and what works and should get great results.

If you're focused on link building, it's best to watch your revenue rather than what Google tells you - because they like to confuse you, and ultimately you really only care about the end results (muchos moolah) anyway.

Thanks for your advice Andy. I'm for the most part a newbie (I dabbled in IM about a year ago, got away from it because I'm and IDIOT...lol, but am committed to making IM work this time because I HATE MY J.O.B.), so the terms are all fairly new to me.

I'll try to be patient with google.

      On a side note:
I absolutely love the Warrior Forum because of the great, experienced IM people on here that are willing to help out and share knowledge.

The comparison for me is like Albert Pujols chatting it up with some struggling middle school baseball player about his batting technique.

You have the best of the best on here teaching things to the people that are early in the IM learning process. You just don't see that in very many areas of life.

This is some of the best advice I've seen in a long, long time. Nowadays, people aren't just watching what Google is telling them, they're watching what they think Google "might" someday do in the future and worse, they're watching what someone else tells them that Google "might" someday do in the future. People are basing their entire businesses on all this speculation and conjecture, instead of doing what actually works today.

Its not about waiting 20 to 30 days. It IS the "nofollow" in your blogger scripting. You can add all the backlinks till the cows come home and it won't make any difference if you have those "nofollows" in your scripting

This is exactly why people should be careful of what they read on here or anywhere else. That statement is ridiculous.

Also, the blogger blogs I've created have all been do follow. I just checked a few hours ago.

I social bookmark my blogger blogs, submit the url, and submit the rss feeds. That works for me.

    Easy come, easy go.

I think Google places less importance on some of these popular web2.0. services. Blogger is probably 90% personal blogs for friends and family and then spam blogs.

I have a blogger blog and every post is indexed. I have checked before and it takes a week from posting until indexing.

I get zero loot from my blogs as Im not using it for that but I am indexed on every post.

The only thing I ever did to promote my blog was stick an auto tweet on tweetspinner as I noticed this works well.

Think about it - auto tweet every half hour and your building 48 web2.0 links a day. And thats not counting all the websites that are set up just to show tweets.

Works really fast. Tweetspinner is by far not the greatest at this but I use it because I learnt it early on and stuck with it.

    Hope this helps.
If it's hard to get things indexed though this is all I use and never wait more than a week.

I haven't used twitter much. I'll have to look into Tweetspinner.

      Thanks!

Theres one called Oomph, I'll find the non affilate link; here - http://www.socialoomph.com
which my dad says it's way better but I think he is paying for it which I'm not a fan of.

I found you can get any link indexed within a week with twitter but it has no more use in my opinion.

I have a good few thousand followers now and tried everything and was recently on forum full of people like me with large twitter followings and it's useless for business. Everyone agreed. Anyone who says different doesn't know what they are talking about.

        Great for indexing though.

There is a very simple way you can have your blog indexed with 30 minutes or less.

I covered this in a thread called "Super-Fast Indexing" If you need any help with the instructions just P.M me.

      Wrong...wrong...wrong

First, these will never be counted as 48 links, these are all serving in most cases as one link, google doesn't care that much about multiple links from the same domain..

Second, this is a very abusive behaviour for Twitter, and it will quickly put a red flag on your acount

i too have a similar problem. I've really been question if the "linkwheel idea works" eveyrtime I post a link to my main money site on blogger or even wordpress I dont see the links in backlink checker, but maybe that's because the blog is not indexed.

I haven't performed a "traditional" linkwheel pattern on any of the newer blogs I've made. Just a lot of one-way links to the blogs (sometimes through another blog on the way to the main blog, but no interlinking structure).

Getting indexed is easy - staying indexed is what people struggle with. There's no secret to getting indexed almost immediately - just post a link somewhere with an rss feed that pings to update services.

I posted a thread earlier about how to make your blogger blogs dofollow: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ould-know.html

    This is 100% false.

Having your blog nofollow has absolutely nothing to do with why your blog isn't being indexed. This makes no sense and I can't believe people are passing this along as if it was a fact.

By default, all blogger blogs are nofollow if you are using a standard template.

Thanks for all the info everybody!

There seems to be a wide range of opinions about indexing and such.

I don't know what to think now!

      Thanks Mark.

This is exactly what I did (in regards to the nofollow).

Do you have any opinions as to why these blogs haven't been indexed? I mean, a few of them are a year old, with submissions to RSS sites and Socialbookmarking. I don't get it.

I agree with Mark, having "nofollow" tag in your blog has nothing to do with indexing!
And especially has nothing to do with whether or not backlinks to your site count.

Well I guess you learn something new everyday. My bad. I have always been taught that the "nofollow" would affect the indexing too. I take back my earlier post

I never use any social bookmarks - just throw an article on EZA and the bot will start visiting your site almost every second at least until the article stays on the most recent section on EZA - So i create 10 or 15 pages in my blogger and blog and then do the submissions on ezine.I have also found that submitting on jumptags.com is better than submitting on every crap bookmarking site.give it a try and let me know. There is nothing wrong with blogger blogs .
