Need Help regarding inner links

I am working for a e-commerce site and the website has two category pages and 7 product pages. I have created individual keywords and content for each pages.

Now I want to inner link my website so what root should I follow. 1> Should I inner link from the home page to the category pages with keyword reach anchor text or should I 2> inner link to the product page directly from the home page with keyword reach anchors.

If anybody has some others suggestion on inner links distribution please share .

    Well you can do both. But If I were you then I would go for linking the category pages.

    I`d say that the first option seems to be more logical in terms of both interlinking and navigation, it is rather intuitive and preserves the logical architecture. Still, you may indeed combine the roots - feature 'most popular', 'currently discounted' products or 'new arrivals' on the homepage for instance.
