Hi,

I used to sell my products through a local department store and from my website.

Now I do not sell through the department store, so can I re-direct the URLs of where my products were on their site, to my website?

As I want to capture visitors to their site looking for my products

Is it illegal? is it unethical?

Thanks

You can't do it. They have to put in the redirects, and I doubt they are going to give away traffic, especially if you are no longer working together.

The store owner has the right to do what is legal on their site. That could include removing all reference to your products on their pages as it seems there is no benefit now for them with your content on their site.
If you consider the traffic amount from the store to be of value you could offer a small fee for them to permanently redirect to your site.
