Profile linking is one of the important method used in link building. Using profile linking we can create a backlink for the site. In profile link, you simply add your website's URL to a personal, professional or any business profile, which you create on different sites. These profiles can also be created on forums, social media sites or any other kind of websites.

Profile linking is one of the ways by which you can link back to your site. It involves adding your website URLs to the personal, professional, or business profiles that you create on various websites.

High page rank sites for example Twitter, Facebook and even blog network sites enable you to build a free profile on their site. While these profiles might seem worthless, they could eventually become a valuable supply of traffic and income. These free profiles generally let you list a link or two and these links are considered "do follow."

They don't just seem worthless. The links are worthless. And they are nofollow.
