Have you checked that actually you are getting any traffic from organic search or not? I mean you are ranking for any keyword or not.

Check if you can see any referral traffic. Share your website on social media and see if you get any traffic from there and it shows on your dashboard. Use a 3rd party tool like Gostats and see if the issue persists.

    Hi PraveenkumarElango,

It could be that your website is not yet indexed. It also could be that your website is indexed but ranks poorly for any and all search terms that get significant traffic.

In either case you can get to the bottom of it by linking your Google Analytics account to your Google Search Console account after your add and verify your website ownership on Google Search console.

It can be technical issue. Like accidentally a redirect in between can cause most traffic in referral. May be your pages de-indexed by mistake. May be your analytics code removed on some pages. It can be anything. Need to check the website for accurate reason.

I don't know why it got deleted, either a mod that didn't know what they were doing or another glitch in the forum, but you posted a link to your site yesterday.

When I looked at it, there was no Analytics code on that site.

    • We are using GTM (Google Tag Manager) code.

My fault. I was looking for the traditional code.

How long have you been using the Tag Manager?

    Hi PraveenkumarElango,

Did you link your Search Console to Google Analytics?

Did you check the Google Search Console for any errors in crawling or indexing your content?

Did you check the number of organic impressions and clicks? Did anything seem unusual in that data?

It should be relatively easy to spot the issue when you look at your Search Console data. Please let us know what you found there and we can try to help you further.

    • Didn't link Search Console to Google Analytics

I checked. No errors in Google Search Console

Getting the good number of organic impressions and clicks.

Now, I placed GA separately. It's working. When we are placing GA in GTM, it not fetching only organic data

Is your GA code is implemented properly?

You just search your website through the organic means just put your keyword in search engine and go to your website, then check realtime report in GA. if visitor is showing in your GA then it will be working properly.

Please check your Google Search Console and checked Indexing Status and Crawl error from last 2 to three week.
    • Have you done any major changes on your websites?
    • Check Crawl Error
    • Check main keyword ranking
    • Check Google Analytics landing page report

    • I have checked all the things. Finally I placed the GA code separately in the website. Previously I use GTM code. Now its working

        Hi PraveenkumarElango,

Sounds like you had an implementation error in your GTM.

While it is great that you got Google Analytics working, you should try to learn what the issue was in your GTM implementation and fix it. There a lot of things that you can do with GTM and Google Analytics that you cannot easily do with Google Analytics alone.

There is a Google Chrome extension called Google Tag Assitant that you can get that will help you test and diagnose implementation issues. And the GTM preview mode is a great aid in implementation task.
