You should purchase some backlinking gigs from Fiverr. If done right, it can definitely boost your ranking on Google. If you do decide to try this, make sure you get manual backlinks and not automatic. You can also try PBN and press releases, personally, I haven't done much of those two, but I have heard good things about them.

When you change to https, you have to permanently redirect the http pages to their corresponding https pages. Or else all your SEO efforts go down the drain.
