Hi
I'm new to this forum and hope that over time I'll be able to make useful contributions.
Right now I have a dilemma I have a new website with good content and good onpage SEO and I'm outsourcing the link building to India to keep costs down, they're producing about 15 per week, and so far I have a mix that looks like this with a dofollow ratio of about 50%.

Is it odd to have no Facebook or Twitter links?
How can I create a better balance of links to avoid penalization by Google without having a facebook and twitter account? I'm trying to avoid having Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Thanks for reading and thanks for any suggestions, its much appreciated!

First of all, Social media does not generate backlinks. It is only increase visibility and popularity on SE. SE consider it as a ranking signal.

Bookmarking and Forum posting are not among link building techniques. They are just good for outreach.

Why would a business not have Facebook or Twitter profiles? They are great, free branding opportunities. While it is true that they do not create followed backlinks, they definitely are backlinks that are part of most websites' balanced link profile, they drive traffic directly from the social network and individual facebook and twitter posts do rank in t he search engines from time to time.

I know it sounds crazy not to want extra leads from having Facebook and Twitter but....through our website we expect to get qualified leads that when we spend time on them will bring in results. The leads from Facebook/Twitter take up just as much time but are often a complete waste of effort, secondly management of Facebook/Twitter takes up valuable time and is a mental distraction. We can definitely live workload wise without Facebook/Twitter.
However this is the current situation: a new website with zero traffic building backlinks through subcontractors with no chatter on Facebook/Twitter.
Even if we didn't have Facebook/Twitter I think Google would expect others to be linking and talking about us... so is the lack of chatter a red flag to Google? In which case how do I get round it without setting up Facebook/Twitter accounts?
      Hope this makes sense

No search engines do not consider them a ranking signal.

I hope you are not paying more than $50 a month for that sort of trash. Seriously, you could go to Fiverr and get the same thing for less.

Those links are total garbage. I would not expect results from that anytime in the next 24-36 months.

Google doesn't care. There are plenty of pages that don't get talked about on Twitter and Facebook ranking just fine. Hell, Google cannot crawl most of Facebook, so they have no idea what is getting talked about anyhow.

The Indian links are 16 per week as per my original post, handwritten to high DA sites, I have to babysit and check them all for grammar and spelling but otherwise they are quite good.
I know social media links (nofollow) aren't good for ranking but Google still notices them as links coming into your site, so wouldn't they find it strange not to see any in an overall link profile like mine above?

Google will not penalize you in either cases. But having social media will help boost trust flow & citation flow. That is being said even if you have say 1000 per day back link from social media still you will not get penalize. So having social media will help but not having will not have any negative impact on ranking provided that other things are equal.

So for example if I'm getting 10 backlinks per day to the website from blogs, images, video etc but zero chat on social media you dont think that will bother Google? Because I really, really dont want to have to deal with FB & TW.

Google don't even care for such small back links. You will be fine & not having FB & TW is ok. However there are many tools that do automated posting. What I personalty do is schedule the post with the help of this tools ones in a month. So let's say we have any festival coming or any other major event coming etc then I schedule the same in advance & the tool does the rest of the job. Your basically over thinking about this stuff, if you don't want to deal with FB & TW then it's perfectly fine, just create the account, add your website to it, add 2 to 3 lines of description & forgot.
