Website I built not showing up in Google Results...yet it's indexed

Hi,
I have a question. I built a website about a month ago for a client. I optimized it for its keywords and ran everything through copyscape to make sure the content was unique. I created unique title tags and everything and the website is still not showing up in the search for the local term. It is actually a local Lawyer website. It's starting to dumbfound me because everything is right and yet it is not even showing up in the first 10 pages for it's desired search term. Are websites just taking a longer now to even show up for the terms they are optimized for? I've recently built similar websites and had them show up in the first 5 pages of Google not long after they are up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    i think its occuring due to new upadte,you can rank local website usually by doing some work easily.

    Hi Matthew!Go to google search engine and type Site:http//www.yourclientsite.com and the site is going to show up then you take it from there.Hope this helps

    What kind of keywords you have used?
    I mean for local I would use: 'village name' lawyers or criminal or traffic or family etc.lawyers.

    Hey! First I`d recommend you to click through results in Google and see if they actually end at some page 15 with a notice that 'Google is showing the most relevant results and is hiding X similar results', as your website may be in supplementary results for some reason, while it`s indexed. Also, check for any possible duplication issues (I mean the ones that may be caused if you have www/non-www or http/https versions both available). Perhaps there`s some error of that kind that prevents the website from ranking. Quite hard to tell more specifically without knowing the website and competitiveness of your terms.
