Hi SEO Experts,
I was reading about robots.txt & understanding why it is used for crawling websites to search engines. But I want to know about "NOODP" tag. Why we can use this and how? What's it's benefit we can get from this tag? I have seen on so many website's source code. It's looks like this in head section
<meta name="robots" content="NOODP" />

So I want to know all about this tag. Anyone can help who understands it better. Thanks.

    Leave it, this tag doesn't block your site indexing, we have to update only noindex to index.

    robots.txt is a text file webmasters create to instruct robots, how to crawl and index pages on their website. Noodp means No Open Directory Project. <meta name=”robots” content=”noodp”>

    It keeps Google from substituting the DMOZ meta description for yours. Since DMOZ is now out of business, so is the NOODP tag.
