Hi Guys,

So i am running a local price comparison website in my country (Small european country) i have managed to land a deal with one of the biggest media sites in my country where i have been able to put my site on a subdomain of theirs with links from the main page.

Now first few thousands pages was indexed within the first few days, which was great, and i am ranking well on low competitive keywords. Traffic is still sort of low, which was expected, even with a strong domain google requires time.

Now a few weeks in, i am up to just below 10.000 index pages. I expected that competitive keywords would take some time to reach good rankings, but it seems that many of my pages on competitive keywords keeps being put on page 2-4 and usually a lot of non local sites gets to be above me...

A fictive example

Lets say i have the keyword Iphone 7 (very competitve) my competition (quite old sites) rank well, but below them, i see a lot of international sites like CNET and other huge intl sites ranking above me.

As soon as i switch the google search to show me sites only from my own country, i get decent rankings.

This is even the case with keywords where my competitors dont have any relevant incomming links.

Am i doing something wrong? or do i simply have to wait for google to start trusting my new subdomain.

I have multiple page one rankings on low competitive keywords.
