Hi there. I have 5 active websites. From time to time I make comments and create a profile for natural backlink purposes. But the sites I link to are mostly hhtp. The benchmarks are https. Do you think this is a precaution? When I look at the alexa toolbar "Sites Linking In" is always low. But at the same time, Sites Linking In is at least 20 on my site with my next http. I would like to know your thoughts on this matter.

The full form of SSL is Secure Sockets Layer. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers.
HTTPS basically provides security on the website. If someone tries to hack or harm your website then SSL plays an important role and save your database from them.
If you are creating backlinks over there, then you can create easily. It will also improve your backlink authority as well.

There is a connection between SSL and backlink. The search engine gives more value to https page in the search engine result pages. So it is good to build links towards the website which are on https or have already SSL enabled but as per many updates comes in recently years from google, there are lots of changes come to build links.

One more thing is that the way you are building links towards the website is wrong so in place building links for your website, create a unique and fresh content for your website which makes users to build link for your website.
