How to predict CPC for a niche?

I have two questions ...
1. How can you predict the $ you will get per click in a certain niche? Are there any good tools? As far as I known, the best paying niches are said to be mortgage, credit card, insurance, legal and health niches. Can you tell me from your experience what is the CPC in those niches?
2. I have a guitar-related website and I use AdSense to monetize it. My CPC totally sucks. I know it's in violation with TOS, but I will tell it anyway - I get from 4 to 8 cents per click. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong with my CPC? Am I smart-priced and how to avoid that?
