Organic vs Paid Traffic & Duplicate Content

I'm sure that this question has been asked before, but in 2017, would like to find out what people still think.

So I have a new website and was planning on using Facebook Ads (paid traffic) vs natural/organic ranking & depending on Google to take their time ranking me. Since I'm going to start with paid traffic & I have some duplicate content for an affiliate website, do you think that it really matters to re-write the content of my vendors (sellers I'm affiliated with) since I plan on using this PAID method to get traffic?

If I keep the same content (it's duplicate) on my site, I plan on re-writing the content into FRESH NEW & ORIGINAL content in the near future, will it be okay to just keep the duplicate, make a few sales, take that money & then invest in unique content writing later on? Would this still work with the PAID method? Just curios to see what some folks think about this idea. Thanks for the support.

Its always good to rewrite the content first before publishing it. And yeah you can keep the old content along with the new content.

And if you are using any kind of paid traffic sources such as Facebook sponsored Ads or Google Adwords then what kind of content you have doesn't matter.

So just to double-check what you're saying....If I go ahead & just keep the duplicate content for now, it would be okay as long as I'm using the paid traffic? Thanks again.

If they are totally copied content then I will suggest that remove them quickly as you can. And if they are just rewrited content then you may keep them.

Try spinning them, in case you don't have time/money for unique content.

Duplicate content is a wee bit bad.

We always start off with paid advertising and work on the SEO while that paid traffic brings in some money. It's fine to leave the identical product descriptions when you first launch the ad campaigns. While they are running, work on the pages one-by-one and provide better, unique descriptions.

The fact is, VERY FEW searches occur for product-specific pages unless you are selling something very trendy like an iPhone 7. Most people search for category level pages (i.e. they search for "dog house" or "wood dog house" and do not search for "Acme Furniture Rufus Pet Dog House - White"). We concentrate first on making sure the pages that have the most searches are optimized for SEO (home page, category pages, buyer's guides) and when those are done, we re-write the content on the pages that tend to have very low search numbers (product pages).

You will not get "penalized" by Google for having the same descriptions that dozens, if not hundreds, of other websites have (if that were the case, why are all of those other sites ranking for it? Amazon sure seems to get away with it just fine). You just probably won't rank for those product pages until you have something new to bring to the table that they haven't seen many times before on other sites unless you have a much better backlink profile than those other sites do (not likely with a new site).

I usually use quality article writers from seolads.com to get fresh and 100% unique content. (don't go for cheapest!! Search for top rated writers) so you get quality organic traffic too. If you looking to buy traffic from same place, it's hard to get real organic traffic, so content is king, and uniqueness is best. Avoid duplicated contents!!!

  • Duplicate content is not good for paid traffic or SEO. Google does not like duplicate content. You can rewrite or spin content and publish it. Quality content will help to get more traffic for a website.

This is simply not true. Google could not care less if the content on your page is duplicated and has said it multiple times. The worst that will happen is another page with better links and/or that has been around longer will rank ahead of your page. It has no effect at all on paid ads, either. https://cognitiveseo.com/blog/14057/...r-hangouts/#11

For paid ads Duplicate content is okay. But you also mentioned & of course you need the organic user. So immediately you can start with your duplicate content for paid ads. But replace it with new content or rewrite old content asap. Because organic result take time.

Rewriting the duplicate content is the best way. while doing organic SEO the search engine will penalize the site and the traffic will decrease. If you go for paid searches means the duplicate content is not matters.

I advise to wait until you get the quality content. Don't use the duplicate content if you have funds for advertising then spend it on quality content and use the remaining funds for your advertising.

IMO re-write all the content to suit your readers and make they are engaging and interesting so that you will not be slammed by any google animal.
Facebook doesn't rank website and so they have nothing to do with duplicate content on your website. Facebook will only get you traffic you requested for through their ads and it is now left for you and your website to convert those traffic to buying customers.

Be it organic or paid, copied plagiarized content is always a NO NO.
Let you explain you with example why I am saying so. Just like you one of friend was using copied content for website, blog and was using spinner for external posts and PPC ads. Initially he faced no issues, so he continued doing so. His website ranking was also increasing but suddenly his website got penalized severely by Google. Two websites also launch a complain against him for copying their content.
It took almost a year to regain to the same position/rank he used to get on Google.
So, I have taken a lesson from it, I think you should also take. It is better to rely on some renowned SEO agency just like Techmagante to get better results both in organic and paid with quality links and original content. Go for it!
