My Blog is Not Ranking Alot, I Feel Like Quiting Blogging

I run a country based blog on education and jobs in Nigeria, I have over 700+ posts but I don't have up to 1000 views daily. Other same niche blogs will copy my contents and rank well for it while I go empty.

Honestly, I feel like quitting blogging, all my efforts are in vein.

Any advice that can change my story is crazily needed.

    How is your link profile? Have you compared your link profile with your competitors.

    People often rewrite the same content and republish it yet still they rank better because their link profile is strong.

      My competitors as checked with Semrush has more backlinks than me. Can this really be the cause?

        Yeah, its probably the cause then. But remember the quantity of backlinks doesn't get counted its their quality that does.

        Yes, there may be reason to higher ranks of competitors. A good backlinks from authoritative domains is the most important ranking boost for any website.
        Increase your links and outreach to the target audience.

    re-structure your activity, do some analysis of your competitor for link profile or link diversity, content framing. Keep involve in more activity, so that create win-win condition.....

        Check the sites with Moz bar to check PA& DA which you are commenting. I have an idea that web 2.0 submissions can increase your site authority faster. I checked your site it has DA 1. which is very low. First of all, you start work for increasing Authority, not for the backlinks. Because you rank well even if you few links when domain authority is high.

    It is not easy to get enough traffic with a country based blog. You can get, just provide interesting information related to your country. Active on Facebook and other social media that your country people use much. Share your content daily.

    I agree to hsahadath. It is hard to get traffic with a country specific blog. So you should make your blog stand out from the crowd. I don't know how your blog looks, but will recommend that you make the blog look modern by using a clean, modern theme or design. Most readers still judge your content according to how your blog looks. But do not spend lots of time and money on the design. You will get tons of free themes and templates for that. Just make it look neat and professional.

    Find out the bounce rate of your blog. Use google analytics for that. If you have a very high bounce rate, then you need to check your articles/blog to see why people are abandoning your website. Use the heatmap feature in apps like Sumo to find out where people click on your blog.

    Promote your blog more using social media websites and try guest posting in a few websites in the same niche. Also find out where your competitors are getting traffic and promote your blog there as well.

    Since you have a strong article count, find out the once that are performing better and promote them in social media sites. Also write more articles like it.

    Do more of what is working and less of what is not working. Wish you all the success.

    1. You can share your blog post with social media sites and content sharing sites like scoop.it
    2. You can do blog commenting and use the link in it.
    3. You can join the forum and put your blog profile link in the signature section.
