Hey team,

My website (in my sig) struggles to rank, and I need to address the problem. I know there are a lot of free SEO diagnostic tools out there, but am wondering which one you think is best and had visible results from?

Keen to get the ball rolling.

What are the rules around here regarding self promotion? I ask because I actually wrote an SEO tool. Its crawls your whole website looking for SEO issues and it's free. Can I drop a link?

I can find broken links through google analytics, I was more after SEO suggestions after a tool analyzes your website and figures out what could be improved. There are some, I was just wondering what people's experiences are with them.

Three big areas to check on. The tools I use time and time again are -

    Site Structure - NetPeak Spider
    Content - Webtextanalyzer

    Hey,
    here is my advice:

Find the competitors who are already ranking for your keyword. Then you can use Builtwith to see what they use to build their website. For example you can see what they use for Analytics and Tracking, Advertising, Audio/Video Media, Widgets...

Here are free tools you can use to analyze your site:
Google Webmaster Tools - see how Google sees your site
Check My Links - find broken links
    SEO Report Card

    WebsiteAuditor from SEO PowerSuite.

Apart from detecting all kinds of errors and tech issues, it`s just priceless in terms of spying on competitors' optimization tactics.

I think Scrapebox is still a great tool today. I use it for prospecting link building opportunities and I like it more than Ahrefs or Semrush.
