Hi friends

We are three people working on Off page link building. We are working from same IP range, we are working for one website. One main thing is we have 3 websites which are on same IP. we are doing following things daily activities.

1) Social Book Marking all three people - 30 submissions

2) Classifieds - 20 submissions

3)Directories - 10 Submissions.

However there is no improvement in the rankings and no change. What should I do inorder to rank. Why Google is not considering my website friends.

You should change to real link building techniques like creating something that other websites will want to link to, letting those other websites know about that content and EARNING links. I say it all the time here on the forum - IF YOU CAN PLACE THE LINK, YOURSELF, IT IS WORTHLESS!

Some rather HUGE exceptions are PBNs and links from. Sister sites.

Yeah, but anybody who has advanced to the PBN level wouldn't think that building things like social bookmarks would help their site or that doing the things they have done is "working really hard". They obviously don't know what "working really hard" means.

Not the least bit surprising. Those are all spammy. Only relatively few directories carry any weight.

Well, your opinion is flat out wrong. Content is not king.

In a competitive SERP, I can rank garbage content with enough good quality links, but I can't rank great content without links.

Actually, we have proven that you can rank content in pretty competitive niches with zero backlinks built if the content is truly stellar, super optimized, blows away everything the competition is doing AND you don't mind waiting what could be 2,3,4,5, years for it to slowly move it's way up the rankings. Most people do not have that kind of patience and/or need much faster results. Link building is the only way to get those faster results.

When it comes to ranking do your home work - some of these advises on here will not help you at all. there are so much more you need to do. I suggest you have a mentor and let that person guides you. I have tons of information but I can't provide for you here only because these information can not be made public. It will ruin SEO for good. Newbies are not good at moderation and do everything in excess ... and ruin everything for us. I just took one look at comment spams I received I knew these people are newbies and they had no idea how to do good SEO. Today SEO aren't all about links. If you need to place links ... place them with high trust scores and high pa (page authority). Domain authority proved is not matter for now and that can change tomorrow as well. PBN (private blog network) works great but only if the PBN don't have foot prints and don't look like PBN. So alot of hard work to rank but yes it's worth it.

Also here is one thing I can say and that is ...

Pick a long tail keyword - and rank that ... as long as you are #1 you will have some traffic from google and you make money. I have a site that I make $100 to $150 a month without me doing nothing. and it's #1 and it ranked on a long tail keyword.

If you don't know what keyword to pick just start with something and install this plug in which is free .. it will tell you which keywords search engines send people to your site. and you will change your site based on that.

The plug in is called statistic.

Where is the value in pasting links?

    How did you help people?

No worth/value in submitting. So it is not hard work, but ineffective action. Like banging your head against a concrete walk; you worked hard at it, but at the end of the day, the concrete will stare back at your melon of a head, burst open, and laugh.

    Hard work?

    More like wrong work.

The social is all nofollow. Most classifieds are nofollow and weak. Most free directories are junk/weak.

Google rewards value. In other words the quality of your content is king .key word usage and search is important too. Use your keywords sparingly.
What key word search tool are you currently using ?

These methods used to work but they don't anymore.

    Instead...do this...

    1. Target Long tail keywords as successproducts mention.

    2. Create valuable content that people will read, and more importantly, will share.

    3. Promote your content to get traffic to your site.

The link building thing you are doing right now is not beneficial and may be disastrous too..

As others have said, these links aren't all that important. Google doesn't care that you took time to submit your content to book marking sites and directories. If they did, every spammy crap blog would be ranking about the high-quality content.

If you want results, you need high-quality editorial links from relevant, high domain authority sites. This will help: http://backlinko.com/link-building

As much as I'd like to - just to prove my point - we do not reveal our eCommerce website niches. I'm sure you will decide it's not possible because of that, which is fine by me.

Also, I did not say that there were zero backlinks. I said that there were zero "built" (I'm careful with my words like that). Good websites quite often get links all on their own.

Finally. I said "pretty" competitive not "super" competitive. You decided that meant the most competitive niches in existence, but not based on anything I wrote (again, I am careful with my words). There are very few eCommerce niches that fall into the competitive ranges you decided to use as examples and certainly not any that we would be dumb enough to try to compete in. There is far too much low hanging fruit that has great yields to go after without having to knock your head against the wall trying to compete in super competitive eCommerce niches.

all backlinks are built by someone even organic. No site on the planet gets links "all on their own" without someone building a link. No such thing as an automatic magnetic backlink site . If you said zero backlinks built by us then there would I suspect be no challenge for proof. Almost all seasoned SEOs know link building can be done without placing links yourself.

What I am saying is that the backlinks that exist are actually as pure as they come. We did not reach out to anybody to get the link. No posts or pages that were promoted anywhere. Other websites discovered the content through searches (I can only guess) and linked to it all on their own with no prodding from us. That is what I mean when I say we did not "build" any backlinks. Any link you can simply place yourself is worthless, so we wouldn't waste our time on that.

I was only pointing out that you caused the confusion there. yes if in fact you had said we built no links Mike would not have needed to object. You didn't you simply said links "were not built" -links are in fact ALWAYS built.

Well personally since I increase in white hat every year I will be happy when thats 100% true. It is true to say any link you can "Easily" place is near worthless now but there is still effective (in terms of working in serps) ways people place their own links -

            PBNs
            niche directories
even some comments/resource sections that are not wide open to bots

I do agree for the Op of this thread none of their strategies are worth much.

I think everyone says choose this way, choose that way but no one writes some high PR link and no one said how you find those backlinks that go for high ranking, Someone said that do pbn but no one said that what is the process to do pbn. If you says something so guide properly manner.

if you increase ranking so please active on social media post some useful content related to your niche or post attractive content or pic that attract your viewer.

My comment was that no content is going to rank in a competitive SERP without links. You chose to bring in the semantic argument of building them yourself versus not building links yourself.

The point I was making is that you are never going to rank based on content alone. You need links. Whether you are building them yourself or others are linking to you. It doesn't matter if your content is steller and super optimized or not. Links are required.

If you want to argue semantics over it, I am sure on your ecommerce sites you are building internal links, so technically you are still building links.

I was careful with my words and never said "external" links.

LOL - I have to give you that one. It's pretty tough to build a site with no internal links. That's actually part of the magic that helps pages rank with no external links intentionally cultivated, built, created - whatever words you want to use.

I need to state that building a site and then leaving it alone to get backlinks completely naturally IS NOT something I would advise others to do. Very few people have years and years to wait for a site to slowly creep up the rankings nor do many people have the ability to create utterly unique and valuable content that will compel other websites to link to it after discovering the content. Backlinks are what will get you higher, much, MUCH faster and intentionally building them by marketing your stellar content is the way to go.
