Does Adwords accept optin pages?

Hello,

I have been thinking about this now for some while and instead of trying to
find the answer on Google I thought it would be best to check with the experts
first.

So let's say I'm going to advertise a landing page/optin page with adwords, is
it okey to have the ad just direct to a landing page/optin page that has maybe
100-300 words of content, and maybe also a video or audio.

Will adwords allow this, and if they do will they charge more for the click if the
website has almost no content?

Thanks for the support,
Ebbi

    Hi Ebbi,

Just make sure you follow the Webmaster Guidelines (contact, about, privacy, tos) and add a link to other relevant content (in the footer will work) and you will be just fine.

I tried this before and it works, but when I first launched my campaign without TOS and Privacy Policy page they've asked me to put something on it and put some meta descriptions and keywords.

I disagree I'm afraid. If you were to launch such a "thin" site you would very quickly get Google Slapped, your minimum bids would increase very quickly (on some cases to $5 or $10) and the ads would stop running.

Currently battling this one myself to try to find the way around it, but believe it is to create a bigger site with plenty of great content at the very least.

I think it's hit or miss. If you use a traditional squeeze page you will get slapped even if you do have the privacy, tos pages etc. If you attach it to a content rich site that is already indexed and ranks well in google you will be ok.

      Hi clairejarrett,

You are partially correct, you do need that great content. By adding the link to additional content as was suggested in my earlier post in this thread, you are satisfying the requirement for additional content. It doesn't necessarily need to be content on the same website. I have created many pages like this that get very high quality scores.
