Almost Zero Traffic to My Site. Why?

I set up a website about 10 months ago with unique professionally written content and some youtube videos in the travel niche and also about 10 days ago had someone who is very experienced with the Yoast plugin set up and configure the Yoast premium plugin for my site and posts.

Additionally, I recently hand coded appropriate tags for each of my posts with no more than 20 tags per post.

However, Google Analytics is showing about one visitor or less per day (which might by myself). I've never had a site with so little traffic. I could possibly generate traffic with Instagram shout-outs, but I would like to get some organic traffic as well.

The site has been up for over 10 months.

The site is Home - Places To Visit in Florida and was set up initially with the Divi theme and later I changed it to the Newspaper 7 theme although the posts still show the Divi editor being available.

I spent alot of money and time on this site so I would prefer not to just give up.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

You site is 10 months old and you are only doing SEO for 10 days. Why?!! You should have started soon. And if you are doing SEO for 10 days then its too early to tell anything it will take time. In some cases pages takes months to get indexed and ranked. And also how is your link profile? It depends a lot when it comes to ranking in the SERP's especially when it comes to ranking in a competitive niche.

If your website is 10 months old and you start seo just 10 days ago, so its too early to expect traffic on your website, do proper seo, create high quality link profile, avoid low quality websites, don't get too many dofollow links, post unique content continuously at your website, also check indexing of your website and newly posted content.

I read an article before and the take home message was this:

"20% of your time should be used to create great content and 80% of your time should be used to promote your great content"

SEO is not the only way to promote your content.

And you have someone to set up Yoast Premium SEO but many people already have that set up not for 10 days, but possibly for years too.

For your niche, I think Pinterest and Instagram will be 2 good places to start promoting your website.

However, learn how to really build up followers in these 2 places the right way. Just posting content will not get you anywhere.

Thanks. I have set up a Pinterest account but only 16 followers even though I am following over 2500 people. I guess I need to set up an Instagram account,

Why don't you use Social media to drive targeted traffic? It will be fast more than doing SEO!
