Backlinking Strategies! Please Help!

O.k. so i'm new to this whole internet marketing thing. i want to create a niche site. But i'm not too familiar with linking strategies.
Here are the ones i do know, articles= i'm aware that i can write an article and submitted it to a lot of directories. Blog Comments= this one speaks for itself.

So my two questions are...What are other backlinking methods that are easy to implement? Because i've realised that article marketing is time consuming.

And.... What is the proper way to back link? If my niche site only has 6-8 pages (adsense niche site) what is the proper way to add back links to this site.

Do i add a certain number of back links to each page? I want to rank high in google. and i've taken into consideration keyword competition.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if you can inform me of any backlinking quality ebooks to buy i would also consider that. thanks again.

O.k, try forums. search in google your keyword + forums and then you can advertise there. Blogs are good as well, same method applies. Try writing article's and submitting them to article directories. There are press release's, TONS of web 2.0 sites likebe squidoo, blogger, and hubpages. Go there. These are all free! Oh, also craigslist, backpage, kiji and many other places to post free advertising. Youtube traffic works quite well. Myspace traffic if used right, facebook is the same (kinda) You can also do media buys, which you can buy placement of banners on certain sites. Always remember to target your demographics. For this use quantcast and alexa. You will need to do good research on your keywords and make sure your keywords are buyer keywords! Otherwise your just wasting your time! Try PPC, with msn, yahoo and if your want google
There are a ton of place's that you can get free ad credits!

    Hope that helps.

It's fre for the first month (you get 30 high quality places to backlink.. and how to do it properly) and then only $5 per month thereafter.

I'm not affiliated with her, just a happy customer =].

Wicho696, Article Marketing IS time consuming! I consider myself a pretty good writer but I STILL outsource it. So should you.

Bite the bullet and get someone to write 100 articles for you. On Elance.com or whatever...

Get 100 keywords with over 3,000 searches a month and less than 500,000 (or 50,000 if you want super-targeted keywords) websites when you type in the keyword in quotations, example: "article marketing." If you don't know how to get keywords use the Google External Keywords tool. One of the first columns will say "search volume." That's where you want to look. Then type in the keywords as I said.

After you've got your articles you can submit them to several sites at once. And you can use Mass Article Submitter and Mass Article Creator to make these articles into thousands more.

This will definitely bring you backlinks. And if you're too lazy to do either of these outsource them both! But you must understand, it's going to be a sacrifice of either time or money. Unless you have some REALLY nice friends who will do work for you for free. Unlikely!

    I hope this helps. :-)

This is one place to start and I've heard SO many people say article marketing is the way to go for many reasons:

    1. It's a way to get LONG TERM SEO (search engine optimization, or high ranking in search engines)

    2. It can "steal" other people's traffic when they pingback from your article.

    Have a good day!

right, but when you target articles with your SEO, is it the link that you place when you submit it that is the "backlink"?

Is it better to link back to the main page or a targeted landing page?

if its to a targeted landing page, does it matter where the domain resides? (same or separate hosting acct as the main site(s)).

    for example,

I'm setting up a landing page based on some targeted keywords.

Here's the flowpath I am considering

    1. I use the best keywords that I've researched,
    2. then write articles using these keywords in text and titles
    3. submit articles to ezine etc. (use backlink to my review site landing page - NOT my main page)
    4. landing page is a review site with my product + 2 other highly searched products
(my question is - does it matter which domain the landing page is on?)
    5. If Click on my product send to free trial offer squeeze page
    6. If click on BUY competition send to CJ affiliate for the sale.

What do you think of that?

Is it a problem that don't give a chance to BUY my own product?

I was wondering whether presenting too much choice (buy product vs free trial) was the wrong move. Once you have the email, you can still sell to the list, correct?

Well I was considering doing this. Grabbing all my content, put it up on a blog. Monetize the blog with adsence, cpa, clickbank, your own product Really it does not matter if they all have your affiliate link and the sales are coming back to you. I would add content to the blog daily. Consider getting an outsource freelancer to do this for you.

what do you mean by "...your own product Really it does not matter if they all have your affiliate link and the sales are coming back to you."

so what about the articles? could you have the links point back to the blog AND have the articles on the blog as well (deep links), but keep the landing page clean?

You can get good back links by your own. You can use social media sites or post a comment on some relevant blogs.

    how do social links help?

I have a facebook fan page that has 43 subscibers, and two twitter accounts with ~500 followers. I push blog updates to all three accounts - withface book, that link is shown to everybody friends who are members, and twitter - is twitter.

Yet, I only have 127 backlinks, does google treat these as backlinks?

    thanks!
