Duplicate video SEO question

Hi Warriors,

I'm new here. Already learnt so much since registering.

I've got a question:

Does google punish duplicate video in the same way it does for identical articles?

I'm looking at tools like Traffic Geyser for aggregation - they promise 50+ backlinks by distributing 1 video out to many video sharing sites besides youtube.

If google was smart, this would be recognised in the same way mass article duplication is, wouldn't it?

Just wanted to check before I start blasting the web with keyword relevant vids.

Thanks for your help and opinions...

Never heard of google penalising duplicate videos distributed to multiple video sites

I thinks so too, I've seen tons of the same videos on different sites and yet they're not banned for it.

I tested trafficgyser about 9 months ago and found that although i was getting SEO ranking quite quickly they wouldn't stick and dropped off the first page over time.

I then got a free copy of a similar software which literally does the same thing but for free which i use now.

I can show you were to get the copy but don't want to blatently advertise my site. PM me if you would like to know where to get a copy from.

I will say it is the same case with the content, only it is the video version!

The videos will drop off the first page over time if Google no longer sees them as relevant. You need to continue to add more views into your channel and get people to actually engage with your content (rating, commenting, sharing, etc.) in order to keep the rankings

Also, make sure that the content of your video actually relates to the keywords you are optimizing for.
