How to gain traffic on my website?

Hello Everyone,

Actually, it's been two months or more since I created my new E-commerce website (tech niche) and put up relevant articles, but all I'm seeing is lower traffic on my site.

Any good tips and suggestions to improve organic traffic on my site?

    At this stage its important to focus most of your efforts on SEO; make sure that the site is well optimized both on and off site. SEO should be an ongoing activity for the lifetime of your site, but once you have the basics all set, you can then shift your focus to the more direct traffic sources such as Facebook groups, forums, guest posting, etc.

    There are numerous ways to increase your organic traffic, it would be overwhelming to apply every technique at the same time. It's better to focus on one thing at a time, for instance Social Media, then give it your best shot before adopting another strategy.

    You have just started. You need time to get enough traffic. At the beginning, you should depend on referral traffic such as social networking sites, forum sites, questions and answer sites and more.
    Share your content in different social networks and relevant groups & communities. Be active in forum sites and Q&A sites. Ask the question and join the discussion.
    Try to create top quality content, select the perfect keywords. You must do keyword research before writing. You can use KWFinder, SEMRush to find the most profitable keywords. Select low competitive keywords. t will be really helpful to get some organic traffic.
    Create quality backlinks by blog commenting, social bookmarking, directory submission and more.
    Read other top quality blogs. Read more write less.

    In addition to the sound advice of using social media and forum posts, I would recommend for the short term using some paid traffic say $5 per day with Bing. This will help you in the short term, but for long term ranking you might want to look into using private blog networds and web 2.0's to give your site the juice that it needs.

    Ecom websites are not content filled websites so doing SEO for them is bit tough better try for adwords or facebook

    Could you perhaps review the keyword you are targeting? Are they there? You want to get traffic based on your niche, ensure that those can be found and read all over your site. Sometimes, you'd get traffic for the wrong reasons, which means you have to review if you got the right keywords there. But when you're not getting at least some traffic, there's definitely a problem there. Do more on page and then off page SEO.

    Well even if you write contents on a usual basis you don't expect people to discover it instantly, most especially if you're not well established yet. Do your job, extend your resource to different platforms. Where? On where your target audience can be found.

    Hi,

    I will suggest you to work on your URL Structure. I Increase my Search Traffic by doing this..

    The only thing I did was adjust my URL structure. My URL structure used to be:

    domain.com/month/day/year/post-title/

    It's now...

    domain.com/blog/post-title/

    That one change increased my search traffic by roughly 58%. The reason being is Google is now seeing my blog posts in relation to my domain and blog instead of a specific date.

    The posts I write are evergreen, so there is no reason to have dates in my URL structure.

    Now if you make this change, there are a few things you need to know:

    - You also have to update your internal links. You can't just change your URL structure without changing your internal links.
    - You need to 301 redirect your old URLs to your new URLs.
    - You have to update all of these changes at once.

    If you are building a site from scratch, don't make the same mistake I made. Have clean URLs, and don't have too many sub-folders.

    Free methods such as: Doing SEO, Social Media Content sharing, Youtube sharing, Facebook Content (Fanpage, Group), Twitter, Google+, Pinterest,...and many other channels that give you free using and promotions
