This just got me thinking: what if I get Google to deindex all the pages Google shows in spots 1 through 100 for my keyword? Just daydreaming aloud. Thank you for listening.

Its a very simple process to be performed from your Google Webmaster Account. Just follow the below steps to remove unwanted URLs from appearing in Google Search.

To request a removal of outdated content:

    1. Go to the Remove outdated content page.
    2. Enter the URL (web address) of the page that has the outdated content you want to remove.
    3. Select Request removal.
    4. If you see the message "We think the image or web page you're trying to remove hasn't been removed by the site owner," follow the onscreen steps to give us more information.
    5. If you see the message "This content is no longer live on the website," select Request Removal.

I'm trying to be nice here, but that is an incredibly stupid suggestion.

That only works if you own the site. If you own the site, just remove the links or the pages. Don't go through all that extra crap in Webmaster Tools.

    Hi,
I think, instead of deindexing the URL its better to redirect the URL.
