Exposing your website on the first page of SERP or simply rank high doesn't actually mean you have to write content very frequently (as per your saying 1-3 times a week).

Try to write in-depth and high-quality content, so that your readers don't have to look any further information on another website.

Fundamentally Google likes fresh content, not a plethora of posts every week. Even 1 post per month will work if your post contains several thousand words, which is highly in-depth.

  • A couple of blogposts a week. Sometimes a post a day. Sometimes no posting for a month. It makes no difference. How frequently a site is updated has nothing to do with SEO.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11153431].message }}
  • I write twice a week. Mos important thing is you need to be consistent.

It depends on you. You write 2 or 3 articles per week. That is enough. Here the quality and the keywords are big issues.
If you write 30 articles every month but the quality is low, you will not get any good results.
But if someone writes 2 or 3 articles every month but all these articles are perfect and top quality and he has selected perfect keywords, he will get enough benefits.
So the number is not a big issue, quality is the most important issue. It is true that you have to write continuously, it will help you to rank well in Google.

No one knows what Google wants as their algorithm is a secret, and they probably change it any time they want to. So in answer to your question, there is no best number of times you should write your blog posts.

Just make sure your posts are full of good content that is useful to your readers. However, you should write your posts on a consistent day(s) so that your readers can expect to read something on that day(s).

      This is it Clarence.

Folks spread a weird idea that Google wants frequency. They could care less. Google wants value, links in, relevance and an aged domain.

All my ranking posts do well on Google because of value, relevance and links in, not because of some posting frequency.

Create a post only if you have something to say, don't post for the sake of posting.

Honestly, the number is not an issue. What you want to focus on is quality. If you write one in-depth article a month, you're good. In our case, we plan for 3 months ahead. We have the resources, so I can get 3 detailed posts/month.

Quantity doesn't equal value and There is no set rule when it comes to content output. the lifespan of a blog isn't infinite so therefore you should spend munimum of time promoting in order to boost your content .

    hey there

    great question..

.create a post when you have something to say...

1 post a week with great content is much better then several posts with re ash stuff that drive your

visitors away from your website or blog

I recommend that you spent all week if you have to searching and finding good content

then write an publish your post friday or saturday

    ok
    talk soon

2 posts weekly here. But frequency matters not. Solving specific problems, staying on topic and guest posting and blog commenting do matter, for driving traffic.

There is no accurate time to post the article. It's good the time the site gets the content. It will be get crawled more and more. Still, the standard period in one week you can put one article.

Twice in a week is a good practice but as above everyone says your article should be engaging & Informative.

For achieving marketing Nirvana, of course.

You do more than that, your soul gets tired, wrinkly, thereby reducing the available surface Godliness Rays have available to enter. Fewer Godliness Rays means you go to hell.

You do more than that, you don't have enough time to thank the Godliness Rays, they get pissed off at you and don't lay they're hands upon you no more. You go to hell.

Surely, therefore, it's best practice to do what Madhukar B suggests, dontcha think?

  • Whether you're posting every day, once a week or even once a month, the most imperative thing is that you are reliable with your posting. It is a great factor for the search engines on how they rate your blog in the search results. The more often you post, the better.

Pick a posting plan that you can stay with, even if it frequently than what you want. Consistency is best when it comes to blogging.

Blogs are excellent ways of getting traffic to your website. There are people who post one blog a day to get traffic. But your focus should not be on the number of blogs you are rolling out, rather on its quality. Still, around two blogs a week is a good number to hit. Make sure you have the relevant keywords inserted in your blog.

I would agree with some opinion stated that "the number of post per weeks is not as important as the content you publish". If you create 1 unique, high quality post in 1-2 weeks, it would be better than 2-3 post/ week with thin content or copied content.
    Have fun!

Never: Google don't have either eyes or ees! Spend your time creating a page that converts (as in, gets people to put money in your pocket), then spend time getting people to see that page (get backlinks, create AdWords campaigns, or FaceBook ads, or publish ads in the Chicago Tribune or the New Yorker, just do activities that get people to see the slot on the internet where they can put their money for you to take).

  • IMO once a week is good frequency. More important than quantity is quality and
usefulness. People and Google appreciate valuable content and reward them. The average or weak content is lost in the huge noise of information.

Posting blog posts regularly won't give any results unless they are in-depth and you did some proper keyword research. Create pillar articles instead of filling the site with useless content.
