Product Description in Wordpress Shop

I would like to ask as I have, so far, received conflicting replies. I have an online store with over 800 wooden toys. So far I have been using the descriptions the whole sellers provide. Now some SEO specialists say I should change the description as its not good if my text is the same as on other pages that were obviously there before me. Others say that it is not an issue because Google wouldn't expect stores with a huge range of products to change every single description.
How do I know what answer is right? What should I do?

    make sure you have the meta tag and meta keywords already engaged in your e- commerce website that it will uplift your site the moment user enter the keyword for searching wooden toys.

    Changing 800 descriptions eek no thanks install Yoast add some articles if you are that worried about google not picking you up.. thousand s of online sores use the same Dropshipperer wholesaler so that inst much of an issue.. of course it will help seo if you have no other description around the web the same. Chances are most wooden toy sellers will have similar descriptions anyway.
