Google Penalizes duplicates supposedly, But...

I hear from some that google may penalize backlinks if there are more than one backlink on a site because they may see it as spam. I don't know if that is true, but regardless, say I have a twitter account. Every time I make a new post on my blog, I want to update my twitter account that I did, and link people to my new blog post. Is this going to penalize my site because I will essentially have hundreds of links going straight to my site from one website (twitter)?

    Hi Endeveren,

    Sounds like you are using Twitter to update your followers with what's going on in you business. That's a typical use of Twitter so I see no problem with doing that.

    Backlinks won't hurt you either so I say go for it!
