Can I outrank this type of competitor

I just created a new blog, and I found a keyword, and when I checked top 10 competition myself, I saw all of their content is poorly optimized for on page SEO, and their content only 200 words max.

But their DA is 70+ and PA 40+ & mine 1

So can I outrank them with 1000+ word quality articles?

Or is there any other way to outrank them?

Judging by the PA DA I think its a well established old website am i right?
Outranking them alone with an article would be tough but if you can get some good quality links then it should not be that difficult considering you have a good optimized article but if I would be at your place I would try to go for 2k words article as 1k is too mainstream now and you cannot include everything.

Also instead of ranking for just a X keyword I would be glad if I can rank for most of the things around that keyword.

DA and PA with 70+ & 40+ shows a strong position of the site. But in my opinion, other criteria's for rest competitors; such as Root domain, title, URL, PR, Site age, backlink gives a green signal to you, then you can go with your keyword. Just need to put the step with a high quality content of 1500-2000 words.

Why isn't anyone building a private blog network?

This should be your main go to strategy when trying to rank.

    You can easily test.

Also, when you're beginning, go for something EASY. Then learn from there.

Well the thing is that building private blog network isnt that easy task and just by judging with the post of OP it seems he wont have a clue about it and building a PBN for him would be a stupid thing.

    Yes, it's possible.

Go check to see how many backlinks they have and how powerful they are. You can do that in MOZ for free.

Then, create a well optimized 2,000 word pluspage with many LSI and long tail keywords as well as your main keywords.

Use the skyscraper method to get backlinks until you outrank them, simple as that.

Be sure to get some social media links as well. This shows Google your popularity.

Remember 1 thing. If you can buy a link, it's spam.

D, I get about 100 pitches a year from guys who want me to get them on Forbes because I have appeared on the site and I must admit....these pitches are pure trash LOL! You EARN the right to get on Forbes by paying your dues. Even if you find someone who would place your link on Forbes for some dough, if you have not earned the right by creating value and building your friend network for years, there shall be echoes, young grasshopper, when folks click through to your site Take it from a guy who has been featured on Virgin, Forbes, Entrepreneur and Fox News, in addition to over 1000 sites....the reverb carries when the tribe that you earned, by building your friend network and offering value, shouts out your accomplishment.

Yes, it's spam and one day you'll pay. Plus, you need to listen to what Ryan said in reply to you.

He's telling you the truth. I've been featured in many pubs as well and he's spot on.

It's like buying a girlfriend. I guarantee you, one day you'll pay.

I'd focus my attention and energy on helping my readers rather than trying to go against any blogger in your niche. Fear-based approach. Also, I'd work with the guy in my niche, co-promoting each other through guest posting, blog commenting. I live a pretty neat life by co-creating with blogging tips bloggers versus going against them

Content isn't the only thing that will help you rank organically. There are various kinds of strategies both onsite and offsite for SEO. If you want, you can check that specific competitor's backlinks and try to create also your own.

Akash.. Ignore all those people who are suggesting you buy PBN , Backlinks and shit shit shit..

Write an article with 1500 Words, Cover all topic related to that keyword. Make Paragraph short (max 60 words) . Use List if possible . Make it clean and easy to read article.

If your website is completely new , then only you may need to generate few backlinks for faster result. else Your website will get ranked on top automatically but it will take some time.

Everything depend on your article. I have many articles on my website, that are written properly and outranked even news websites ..

When I use firefox seoquake, for some keywords I see huge websites with thousands of backlinks, but these are the backlinks from their home page- not their inner page.

Example: acne treatment tools (it is stupid word but it is an example)

So I see huge websites ranking on the first page in google.
All websites have thousands of backlinks - but when I open that page to see deeper seoquake data, I can see that their inner page with the title "acne treatment tools" have zero backlinks.

Would I outrank these easy when I build my website with the keyword in title (acne treatment tools) and when it is possible- use an emd domain?

And when I use free keyword tools, most are not free they have limit daily searches, it is impossible for me to find longtail keywords who have low cpc and most of the longtail keywords show zero search volume- I go despair with that.

    What do you think?
