Why do I rank #2 on Bing, but don't rank at all on Google?

I noticed my site comes up #2 on Bing for keywords. But I cannot find any listing of it on google for keywords. Any suggestions how I can pin point the problem. Google Analytics does not tell me anything.

There is no "problem" so to speak. They are two different search engines with different ranking algorithms.

Generally speaking, Bing responds more favorably to low quality links than Google does.

So if you have been building a lot of links using things like blog comments, forum signature links, profile links, article submissions, PDF submissions, etc. Google sees much of that as low quality junk. Bing not nearly as much. That can cause big discrepancies between the two.

As Mike says its not really an issue, its very much down to the algorithms used for rankings by both bing and google.

Its a little easier to get ranked on Bing than it is with big G - i find anyway, google wants that little bit more, better backlinks, better content and better all round website

Well of course you are more relevant for bing as for google and bing its more easy to rank .I think you should check your competitors what they doing and start doing the same also

it depends on the algorithm and the main thing is bing responds to all kinds of links but the google responds only to the genuine links so you will see that difference

It has to do with the volume of each search engine. It`s easier to rank on Bing than it is to do it on google.

It depends upon the search engine algorithms as Google algorithms are mainly designed to avoid any kind of spam as compare to others.

Ranking on bing and yahoo is pretty easy just create a lot of links and you will be easily pushed on those search networks. While its not the same with google rankings
