How to uncover competitor's internal linking

My competitor has a lot of pages floating in the SERPS, but we cannot figure out 'how they are linked to' from other pages on the site.
The page has a bit of a false breadcrumb with a homepage link which does allow you to go to the homepage, but you cannot find this page from the homepage or from any other page on the site.
We have looked at their onsite sitemap and .xml sitemap but again can't see anything.
How can we find out how these pages are being linked to thus able to be crawled by google?
