Too Many Directory Links

I recently finished an agreement with my SEO company. In their parting email, they sent me a message to stop building citations and directory listings to my site. Their opinion was that I already had so many that they would no longer have an impact. I bought listings on what looked to be good directories. Some were as high as $300 each.

I have now shifted gears the past week trying to do outreach to blog owners that have content in my niche. I have yet to get a reply. I found a service by Gotch SEO in which they produce the content and do outreach to blogs. You pay per article/link. Has anyone used this service?

I wont anything about any service but Its always best to try yourself before going to any service if you have idea how the things can be done. After that if you think your time spent isnt converting well then go for those services and see what magic they bring in

And if work done from your side is working well, then its time to hire someone and get this task outsourced.

    Whew $300?

I never pay for directory links and you shouldn't have to.

I use the free ones and we get ranked just fine.

I also used some free directories, but I was having issues finding free directories that were not spammy that had do follow links. I am using Ahrefs and I was looking for links on pages that had UR rankings that were as high or higher than my site. I also didn't try to get links on sites that had loads of outgoing links on the page where my link would be.

1 directory listing is 1 too many.

Why not just contact a reputable link broker (there are many) and buy links on great websites?

They cost a whole lot less than $300....

it was nice of the seo company to give you a tip...
