Ranking High Super Quick With a Two-Word Phrase

This is about one of my articles I submitted to Ezinearticles a few days ago. I would usually go for long-tail keywords with three words or more, with less than 10,000 competing sites (with the quotes) to write an article around, but this time I chose a two-word phrase with 39,000 competing sites and 295 daily searches.

The day after this article was published I couldn't find the site in the first 100 spots in Google, but I could see that the article was ranked by typing the title and url in Google.

But today I've noticed that my article is hanging out on the 4th page (37th spot) of Google without quotes, and on the 2nd page (18th spot) with quotes.

I've only built 14 do-follow high PR back-links to this article in the past 2 days.

I'm trying to find out what I can do to push my article to the front page as fast as possible.

Is there certain links that work better and faster than others, or any other ideas?

My article is well optimized for the keyword I'm targeting (including title and anchor link) and I've heard that Ezinearticles can rank high for competitive keywords with lots of quality back-links pointing towards it.

Is this true or not? If so, how can I rank higher, faster with this article? And if I keep building back-links everyday, how long could it take for my article to hit first page?
