Hi all...
Just wondering if you might have any ideas on what pages you must have on your website so Google thinks your site is worth ranking well.

EG - I've heard that these pages are good to have
1.Copyright-notice
2. Privacy-policy
3. Website-disclaimer

Any other 'must have' pages in your view??

That's a great start, but it's all about relevance. Your site could rank well without those pages. Here's a great reference for understanding what will make Google love your website..

Google say that you must have a privacy policy on your site if you carry AdSense ads. Their implication is that you won't get paid if you don't.

However, an odd thing happened to me recently.

A very old (2004) made-for-Adsense site that had long been de-indexed by Google suddenly woke up.

For reasons I can't fathom - because I have never touched the site since the day it was auto-created with some software I used to use back in the day - Google decided to list it again.

The site has no privacy policy or anything else of any value. In fact, it is about 200 pages of duplicated content with some now very old scraped Google results underneath (remember those sites?)

The only reason it still exists is because I had forgotten to set the domain to manual renewal, so it got renewed automatically.

For the last few months that ghastly site has been making me about $2 per day from AdSense income. Go figure!

I can only assume (dangerous, I know) that the age of the domain is more important to Google than what is on it.
