Frustrated with ClickBack products!

Ok, I know that to some affiliates making money with Clickbank is like taking candy from a baby, for me it's been like pulling teeth and I think my primary problem has been the types of sales letter landing pages that most clickbank products have.

Clickbank does not allow you to direct your affiliate links directly to the checkout/order page, so you have to direct traffic to your landing page first then to the merchant's landing page, which are usually long ass sales letters, so I'm having a huge problem making a good transition from my landing page to the merchant's landing page. What works best here? Should I have a sales letter also or just a description of the product? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

CBs sales letter do look corny as can be but they convert which is why everyone uses them. Personally I think the choice of what to use for a lander depends on what angle of targeted traffic they are.

Like if you want to target and emphasize a point that the product/ebook covers that the sales letter lacks you can promote it with a sales pitch or you can use a review style lander for that.

Then with traffic that fits well with the sales page that's up I like to just redirect my traffic so its one less page in front of them before they pay.

Hmm Not sure about Amazon, do you mean advertise through Amazon to send traffic to the CB offers I'm promoting?

I'm using primarily Adwords Search to send traffic to my landing pages, I'm just having a hard time finding the correct angel to promote these offers, is anyone using adwords to promote CB offers? I have tried doing review/comparison style LPs but it doesn't look like anybody cares once they get to the sales letter it's kind of hard to convert anything.

  • The really big money in Clickbank goes to Clickbank and people who are recruiting affiliates to promote products for them.

Yeah I understand that the merchant makes the money because he's also collecting leads and doing backend sales and all kinds of junk, but affiliates can still make decent money with a one time deal and I know it's being done, I'm just trying to get ideas for how to get a user to your LP then transition them to the CB merchant's LP... I hate that about CB that you can't just send them to the checkout page.

You can direct link to the payment page of a Clickbank product and I have done it myself but there is one major problem with doing this; the cookies don't work.

This means that if the visitor decides to leave the site and then come back later to purchase, you may not be credited with the sale.

For more information on how to do this, search Rosalind Gardner's blog. She has an article on how to do this.
