Domain names with unintentional explitives like openissues.com

I've got an opportunity to get a .org niche domain that gets 50k exact searches per month. and pays $1-5 according to spyfu.

Only problem is that the domain name contains an unintentional expletive when read one way. When you read the domain using the keywords, it does not sound out the expletive.

Example: openissues.com

Would this cause the domain to rank poorly than if it did not contain the unintentional expletive?

  That is exactly the type of situation where using hyphens may actually be better than the same name without hyphens. If they are both available, register both and redirect the non-hyphenated domain to the hyphenated domain.

  that, you should begin to think of how to best monetize

  There are programs available that can read where the traffic is coming from and redirect it on that basis.
  
  For example if someone came to your site from google about a search for open issues, nothing happens. They land on your site as expected.
  
  However if they did a search on penis the script would read the word penis and redirect them to another appropriate site of your choosing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. my example, openissues.com was just the first thing that I could come up with (no pun intended) :-)

Actually, a better example would have been girl****songs.com

I can certainly see how the previous example could be a bonus, I'm not so sure the same could be said for this example, which is actually the word in the domain.

Never the less, I believe I have the answer that their should be no problem ranking for "girls hit songs" even though it could be interpreted as "girl **** songs".

I suppose the only problem might be spam filters, but since these are adsense related sites, it should not come into play.

UPDATE: I see that the forum's filter has kicked in on that word. Funny it didn't have a problem with o penis sues. Anyway, the word is what you get when you put together "girls hit songs"...

I couldn't figure out what the domain was until you broke it down to the three words.

even if you were in adult marketing, I don't think you want to touch that niche.

I still think you'll be fine. Your page content should make it clear what your site is about.

keeping with your phrase, this was #3 in google for girl**** 2 Girls Hit While Walking To Pleasant Hill School - cbs5.com so I think google can figure it out.

still, thinking of some of the misguided traffic and long-tail keywords that are going to show up in your stats. but we all get it too some degree. I can't figure out how some searches (typically adult) end up at my sites when they have nothing to do with the site or its content.
