Hi Guys

Is there any real benefit to posting articles in under different usernames?

I was thinking maybe to post loads of articles over many sites under one name and then changing and so forth, but is there any need?

Thats all for now, thanks.

Mark

Hi Mark, I would use same username if the articles are all about the same topic/niche but if not then use different usernames for different niches,

for example ezine articles you can use your name as main author and also use different name for "co author" which is good if you are involved in more than one niche/market.

    Regards, Kurnow

thanks for that, people dont seem to want to answer questions if they are seemingly obvious.

I only wanted to know if there was some benefit for doing so and you have answered my question, much appriciated.

Cant really see any benfit of that. In fact with the same username you can build up you rarticle count and also reputation.

The reason is to separate your niches. If you write ONLY about "blue widget training" if people check what other articles you've written they'll see that you really know your stuff about "blue widget training". They might even think you're the expert on it, because that's all you've written about. If you also write about "red thingamabobs" and "green watchamacallits" and "purple thingy-dos" etc, etc.. (ie - you write about a lot of different subjects) they'll question what your motives are and if you really know your stuff, or you're just pumping out articles about subjects for some reason. (sorry to use such vague examples, but substitute "widgets" and "thingamabobs" for real niches.. I hate giving away niches)

Do you want a potential customer looking up your name to get a review about your new "blue widget" product, and them seeing you're also in a bunch of other niches?

That's all potentially far-fetched and a lot of people don't care about that. The other reason though.. your competition. Do you want your competition to know what other niche areas you are in?

It just all boils down to keeping things separate is all.

As Kurn suggested, just use different author names, not user names. For the same site, you can even use different author names.

However, don't be too worried about this, no one is really checking out your articles and author names.

The important thing that you should be worried about is ezinearticles doesn't like it when you have multiple accounts, that is why you should stick to one username, and multiple authors. There are other benefits to one account in that you don't have to request upgrades to your account(s) to submit more articles, and you establish a history of quality articles.
