Question Re SideWiki Blockers and SEO

I want to block SideWiki on all my sites (html and WordPress) but have a question about SEO implications. Various Warriors have blocking products, and generally it appears a hash is appended to the end of urls - such as /#asdfl98347

Am I correct that when an indexing Google/Yahoo/Bing/Etc robot is accessing my site they will see and index - for example - kindsvater.com

But if a person has the Google toolbar installed they will get kindsvater.com/#asdfl98347

So that there is no seo impact. Or is there a potential impact?

Also, will adding a /#asdfl98347 hash impact 404 redirects?

I do not use hash numbers as my system uses keywords which are fully controlled by you from the admin area.

As far as hash not effecting seo, it is not proven that it will not. Sure some will tell you that it will not but the fact is it is not "proven" that it will not effect it.

Some of those javascript methods do not even detect the google toolbar which means your urls always have that hash numbers.

Blocking Sidewiki with fragment identifiers (those # hashes in HTML speak) ...
      I don't recommend it.

** In y humble opinion its a bug that Sidewiki breaks on that. Can't
take Google long to fix it. Probably even without a need to update
      the toolbar.

** It's ugly and a bad user experience. When your visitors saves a bookmark
or submits to social site in many cases those #99898uiuiu tags will be part
of it and dilute your presence on social sites.

      Now to SEO:
We don't know yet, but Google recently promoted the use if # named
anchors inside your page which can result in additional links in
      your listening on the SERP.

Focus the monitoring on your best entry pages (especially those
where you send paid traffic to) and exit pages. And keep an eye on
      bounce rates.

There will be monitoring scripts available real soon.

      Yours
      John
