Direct liinking on Yahoo Search Marketing

I am unsure of the direct linking rules on Yahoo.

Do they have a restriction on how many affiliates can direct link to the same merchant, like with Google? Same questions for MSN?

Do most affiliate networks allow direct linking of offers or is it on a case-by-case basis?

    As far as I know there is no restriction, the issue though is; does it actually work? Well you will be competing with loads of other marketers if the product is hot. The cost then goes up and as you're not getting any opt ins, the sales pages better be good. I have now stopped all direct linking as most people don't buy first time round and if they go on the Vendor's mailing list, they may buy in the future and they may not have cleared their cookies and then you may get paid. Not a great way to run a business. Bottom line, if you're not getting opt ins and the product is not water in the desert, waste of money.

    I think one of the biggest mistakes people make to PPC is not having a funnel in place, and trying to make the sale first... Did you read scientific advertising?
