Spiders following my 'nofollow' go code aff links?

Every time I update a post on any affiliate site my CB analytics shows about 65 new hops. I have a large list of pingers in my WP setup. These visits are not registered on my Statcounter stats (site visits) only on the CB hops count.

All of my affiliate links are cloaked w go codes and are tagged 'no follow'.

I have seen this happen more than once why would they register with CB and not my Statcounter stats? Why would they register anywhere being no follow?

Not a big deal but I find it odd.

Any ideas?

First, nofollow doesn't mean "Don't follow this link" and second, it's only recognized by Google. But even then for Google, it just means that you don't want to pass on PageRank to the link. They may or may not follow the link and they may or may not count it as a back link.

Why does StatCounter not include bots but CB does?
Probably because StatCounter has a better list of bots not to be included in Visitor Statistics.
