Article Marketing and Backlink Value

With so much controversy out there, what is the WF's opinion on submitting the same article to top directories. What is the hot number of directories you can submit the same article to and still get value from google in terms of backlinks? Is it 2, or 5, or maybe 10. Maybe the max is just 1. I don't have any experience with this one and would love to hear before I start using this method to obtain backlinks.

This is something I'm interested in as well. I have heard of people having great results submitting the same articles but I do not know if unique articles would be better for more competitive keywords.

There's no real consensus on this subject. I make each article I submit to top directories a manual re-write.

Never tried it but making a few changes and then submitting it to the top directories is far more benficial. Its a win win for everyone, they get unique content, and you get traffic as well as your article will show up in the serps.

I've read stuff that is contrary to what Im writing but Im only going by what I've experienced! Rewrites win hands down IMO.

What if I just want to get the "dofollow" link from the article directory and not be worried about the traffic. I just want the link juice similar to Ezinearticles. Is it fine to just submit the same article to like the top 15-20 article directories that are dofollow?

This is exactly what I am wondering. I figure that I could write 10-15 articles (just for seo purposes) and submit them to 15-20 top article directories to get an extra 100 or so do-follow links from authority article directories. My thought is that I need multiple sources for links I.E web 2.0 sites, article directories, profiles, blogs, forums, etc.. in order to rank well and this would be a way to get another hundred or so good links from yet another source and diversify.

If this doesn't make sense, it could be because I'm one of the dumbest people there are when it comes to SEO. I'm learning though....hopefully

This is an interesting article. I think that's good info to submit to 5 or so directories that you think will drive the most value in traffic and link juice. I suppose more then that would be just simply spam.

See this is what I dont get, I asked this EXACT question the other day and only got one person answer it who is in this same thread needing a solid answer.

Is it that the people on here dont actually know the answer? hmmmmm

And also I grabbed that list no longer than an hour ago from another source from doing a few searches online.

I thought forums were 'the place to find your info' but I seemed to be wrong.

If you want an answer to a question you can bet someone has at some point or another asked that same question and the answer is only a few clicks away.

I have managed to answer all the questions you lot could either not be bothered to or would not let off the info as I am sure that there are a few people on here who could quite easily have told me the correct way to do things.

Ill give anyone listening abit of advice, you can not listen and think what do I no if I was the person asking the questions until the other day but I have read enough now to no that this is correct.

No matter what niche you are in you should take advantage of EVERY type of link building available but SENSIBLY and in MODERATION, dont be throwing too many links at one time.

Use the best services about, not just all of them at to their limits, I read on here once that the 'programme is only as good as its user' how true that is.

Do profile linking if its REVELVANT!

Submit to directories but VARY the anchor text!

Do article submissions but not more than say 5-10 each site

Unique content rules over ALL, whenever possible make sure the article is unique so it gets you that link!

Dont over do the social bookmarking!

And use all the other things out there available when you can.

Here is a list I have made myself from other peoples stuff, it contains the best RSS, do follow bookmarking sites, best article site, and other places to add your articles with links, if you want it email me.

I think there is enough for many to be getting on with as there are LOTS there.

Thank you Warrior forum for bringing me the article spinner that brought me to your place, all the great wso's I brought from your good selves, thanks to the guy that made the social bot but when it comes to getting answers to questions, THANKS FOR NOTHING!!

And one last thing, if you have a question search the blogs and Google with as many different variations of the question as possible and I bet you that you will find someone psoting something close to your answer if not the whole thing, if its close but not close enough comment the post and ask them!!

    That is all.
