          I have a better question.

Why is Kevin Riley always referenced in things about hamsters? Did he make his online debut in the hamster niche? Is he hiding something? (oh, really bad pun there)

It would be a good thing not to use this strategy now. Google has caught on.

The illustration above pretty much covered the topic.

The only remaining thing left to be said about it is that you can vary the total number of spokes or site that forms the link (as stated by one warrior here recently).

However, I've read some post here by other warriors also that say that link wheels can get your site sandboxed. I haven't verified this yet. Any warriors experienced this "sandboxed" thing because of linkwheels?

    Thanks,

    Omar

Varied the number of the spokes, randomize the web 2.0 site, varied the number and where the link goes in and out. Never use the same pattern over and over again, especially the pattern that widely used by everybody else.

Like any other tools and method, mostly its not about the method that cause troubles, but how you did it is the matter. Don't be overkill and vary your link building method as much as possible.

Yeah I've heard both sides... some have gotten sandboxed... some haven't. Hell I've had a few niche sites get sandboxed in google and I didn't even use a link wheel nor did I over-saturate my content with keywords... it happens I guess.

But remember... although Google is THE search engine of choice for alot... Yahoo, Bing, and some other oddball search engines also get a ton of visitors, and your site can still be ranked high on those.

      Just my 0.02 anyway... enjoy!

If you know the concept of a link wheel, you will know that it is a wheel of web 2.0 properties which give high quality backlinks to the money site (the site which wants to be promoted), sends in good quality traffic, and also boosts the presence of the main site in search engine result pages and gives it a better page rank. If you are wondering how so many things can be done by one SEO technique, you've not understood link wheels well enough.
The best link wheel services will have a list of web 2.0 properties according to their page ranks, and should be able to offer clients customized packages depending on their needs. If a client wants only high page rank sites, the link wheel should be able to comply, and if the client wants a large link wheel to promote the different aspects of his site, that also should be possible. Another reason why a lot of link wheel services failed is because the sites looked too bland. Though we are creating a network of blogs to promote our original money site, it does not mean that the fact should be very obvious. A good link wheel service will ensure that the blog is all decked up and looks genuine. Here is a long term tip for you - if you are anyway putting the effort of creating a link wheel, do it for the long term - see if you can get your SEO expert to regularly update these blogs and keep adding links back your site. A blog which is more frequently updated has higher value than ones which are sedentary and don't really change.

Link wheels can be done effectively still....like anything else if you overdo it, or do it improperly, you'll not get the results you're looking for, or worse get unintended consequences (like sandboxing)

Check out my signature for a free video on link wheels...we still use them for our clients and I'll attest they still work
